Tapeworm lived in man’s brain almost four years

A tapeworm has been found living in the brain of a British man, it have been there for four years. The 50-year-old man from the year 2008 has been suffering from headaches, seizures, memory flashbacks and problems, he had damaged smell ability and increasing pain down his right hand side.
After four years, scientists at St Thomas’ Hospital in London took a biopsy of his brain and found the tiny tapeworm – known as Spirometra erinaceieuropaei – living in the tissue. After the treatment the patient has fully recovered.
